Mission
ThisIsDiversity is a global community of citizen journalists. Our goal is to facilitate awareness and understanding by bringing together diverse viewpoints on important issues.
Incentive Program
The citizen journalism incentive program rewards users who contribute content and build their ThisIsDiversity fan base. Our incentives are valid through 2009.
1) For every 1,000 page views your account attracts, you will receive $10 (we will accrue and hold payment until total amount reaches $100). We track the cumulative views per user account, so if you reach 1,000 views with one article or one hundred articles, you qualify.
2) Each month, a panel of judges will select the top articles from each topic. Based on predetermined criteria, the best article will be chosen and the winner will receive a commemorative print of their story as well as $1,000.

How to Earn Rewards
Below you will find the four essential steps to reach success in the incentive program.

2) Submit news, articles, opinion and analysis
3) Promote your news
4) Engage in a conversation with other contributors.
How to Get Paid
When you reach the first milestone of 10K page views, please submit the following:
1) Completed and signed tax form (only required once). Scan and e-mail this form to editor@thisisdiversity.com.
• US citizens: IRS Form W-9 (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf)
• International participants: IRS Form W-8BEN (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf) . Instructions can be found at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf.
2) Write your ThisIsDiversity user name and email on the bottom of your tax form.
3) We pay via check only. Checks are processed net 30 days.
Content Guidelines
No Copyright Violations will be tolerated. We want to read your reports, opinions and perspectives. No incentive payments will be made to users who violate our terms of use.
We encourage contributors to:
• Write your own reports, perspectives or opinions about a news story.
• Cite a section of a news story while adding your perspective.
• Paraphrase a news story.
• Tell us what is happening in your world.
Contributors should not
• Copy and paste entire articles from news sources.
